It was beautiful until it ran out of food and the squirrels started eating it
I’m very happy with the birdseed. They clean me out every day! My only unhappy thing is how long it takes to arrive. I try to order ahead but I’m about to run out again. If there is anything you can do to improve the shipping time I’d be grateful

We ship orders the same day or next business day, so once a package leaves our warehouse, delivery time is in the hands of the carrier. At checkout, you'll see several shipping options in the dropdown, including USPS Ground Advantage, USPS Priority Mail, and UPS Ground. USPS Ground Advantage is the most economical option, but it's also the slowest and occasional carrier delays can happen.

I started feeding the birds a few years ago, wanting to make their hard lives a bit easier, and found I was instead endlessly battling aggressive birds and squirrels but attracting few birds that I’d hoped for. I thought buying pricy seed blends from the local bird store was the best I could do.
All that changed dramatically when I finally found this wonderful family company, Happy Birdwatcher.
A complete transformation happened here that I wouldn’t have believed had I not seen (and heard) it myself.
I’d always been put off by the chemical smells of the store bought seeds, probably due to being stored in plastic bags, plus seeds that weren’t very fresh. I now realize the poor birds weren’t impressed either.
Everything about this company was immediately different, from their beautiful, sturdy, recyclable packaging to the food and feeders they curate to the true personalized care.
The magic though, was what happened in my backyard within a couple of weeks of switching.
Birds, it turns out, use a much more effective method of getting the word out than our paltry social media. Suddenly, all kinds of colorful birds I'd never seen before began appearing in my yard, visiting my feeders. Within a week or so, the starlings and grackles decided I wasn’t their favorite restaurant to vandalize anymore.
Then I noticed something about the way I felt. I couldn’t pinpoint it until a neighbor remarked that she just felt so serene on my porch. I almost took it as a personal compliment. That was until she said, “you have so many birds, it’s so peaceful here, I just feel better!” The bird songs were acting like a mental reset. Who knew. My Merlin app was bearing this out listening to 14-18 different birds at a time I’d never had here before. Then I read studies that correlate a diverse population of birds and the songs they bring, acting as a signal to our nervous system that we are safe and sound and thriving.
I’m so grateful beyond words to Susan, the creator of this wonderful company, who continually brings me joy through her heartfelt, humor filled letters and Sam, her data scientist husband, who refers to himself as the delivery guy:), both such stellar humans!
Never would I have imagined a birdseed company could change my life, and of course the many birds here, in ways that truly matter.
It took a few days, but my birds now love the mealworms. I have noticed that after it rains and the worms get wet the birds seem to like them better.
Birds are loving the new summer season seed blend. All types I dont normally see are flying in! The birds have tweeted their thanks for Susan’s seed!
Best product for attracting Cardinals (we have a great couple who i see daily) and all typesnof birds. Be prepared for some sunflower shell devris with this mix but not a big deal
Several different bird “families” have taken up residence in my neighborhood and they visit my backyard feeder quite frequently. They really like the summer blend for their baby birds. I’ve noticed mommy birds coming back and forth to my feeders during the day. As a result, the Cardinal and Blue Jay families are growing. So are the families of many smaller species.
My group of House Finches were charming. But after I put out the summer blend, my group of Finches became a mob. They love the new summer blend.
The birds have been very greedy this spring as the drought has affected the seed available everywhere. Your mix of seeds has been accepted with much flourish at my feeders. They love the freshness of this mix.
My brother and and sister in law gifted me with this subscription and our neighborhood birds are so joyful for it. We even had a couple of mallards join us in our backyard!!

I got this as a gift for my mother and she absolutely loves it. She's been at her new home in Arkansas for a couple of years now and has at least a dozen bird feeders. She even has one that tells her what birds visit her feeder. She has seen so many new birds since using this seed! She sends me updates daily on the new birds that have visited and she loves sitting outside listening and watching the new visitors. It truly has been a highlight of her day lately and I'm so glad I could give her that gift. In an age where most companies do a lot of talking about how great the product is and how well it works only for the customer to be disappointed, I can say this company is not that! I appreciate this product so much! Also customer service is splendid. I forgot to enter a promo code at checkout and instead of canceling my order and making me redo it they simply refunded the difference and left my order alone. This company is just fantastic!
I’ve bought millions of suet cakes over the years, but I’ve never had anything like these. They’re so easy to work with to get in the feeders (so many crumble and fall apart), and they smell good! But the real magic is to watch the birds at your feeder. Everyone had to try it out! They disappeared in no time, and I need to order more. It’s hard because the starlings, grackles, and red-winged blackbirds love it too, and they’re kind of piggies, but hey, everyone needs to eat. Treat yourself and your birds to a package or two of these suet cakes. You’ll not be disappointed!

I always forget to buy more bird seed and having a subscription is the perfect solution. The letter that comes in every delivery about the seed, bird facts, and what to expect to see at the feeder at the time I received seed, is fun and informative. Highly recommend!
I have several bird feeders in my yard. I enjoy seeing multiple birds of all types stop to eat and drink at the birdbath. I wish I knew the names of the birds but many are beautiful. I enjoy every one of them. I feel they are especially enjoying the seed and suet from the Happy Birdwatcher. I think the finches are especially enjoying the blend that is just for them. It is very easy to order curated seeds and suet from Happy Birdwatcher. Susan was very responsive when I had a problem with my order. I love the seeds that bring different types of birds to the yard. You will, too.
I have been using the woodpecker feed for woodpecker and other fond nut eaters. It’s been wonderful to see them in my classroom window. My students adore looking at the Nut feeding birds.
The birds love mealworms and these are very popular with the birds.
